Give yourself space to breathe. Give your body space to move. Give your heart space to love. Whether you’re meditating, getting bodywork or just want to relax, Deuter’s Space is the perfect soundscape that leads you into a place of inner stillness. Deuter creates his music in his home studio hidden deep in the New Mexico forest outside of Santa Fe, which he shares with birds, deer, bears, roadrunners, snakes, and coyotes. The studio, with its large windows and views of the forest is both a sanctuary and a laboratory for creating his award-winning music. He continues to learn and master an ever-expanding array of instruments including shakuhachi, flutes, cello, koto, Tibetan singing bowls, santoor, piano and keyboards. Through feeling, awareness, and experience he expresses spirituality through music that transports the listener to a space of wellbeing.
“When I was a boy in the 1950’s and 60’s, I enjoyed watching science-fiction movies and dreaming of a future where people could fly to other planets or live on space stations. My only concept of space was outer space. Later, through music and meditation, I got to know another space … an inner-space inside myself. Studying physics, I learned to imagine an atom the size of a cathedral, and proportionally, the nucleus is only the size of a particle of dust. The rest in between is empty space. We are surrounded by space. We are made of space. ” – Deuter
